There are several locations for getting groceries here in Puerto Penasco. - There are also a number of places in town for getting fresh seafood and produce, which are awesome. Plus, many people often bring in their own groceries. There are some restrictions on meat products and produce that can be brought across the border so please check the SENASICA website at www.senasica.gob.mx.

For a shopping experience that feels familiar, the Bodega is the place to go. This store might remind you of Walmart, but it’s tailored to the Mexican market. Here, you will find groceries, alcoholic beverages, produce, clothing, cleaning supplies, toys, and more. The Bodega also has a bakery and a deli, where you can discover an impressive variety of cheeses and cold cuts.
You can locate the Bodega on Benito Juarez, and it’s quite easy to spot as you enter town. Location
Located right next door to Bodega, Sam’s Club is another fantastic option for your shopping needs. While you do need a membership card, your U.S. card works here as well. Sam’s Club offers a wide array of products, from electronics and camping gear to vitamins and patio furniture. Here you will find an excellent selection of coffee, frozen foods, wine, and more, making it a worthwhile visit. Similar to the States, food items are sold in larger quantities, making it a great choice for stocking up on essentials. Location
Super Ley is a well-known supermarket chain located throughout Mexico, and it offers a complete shopping experience. The main Super Ley location is situated on Ave. Constitucion, while Ley Express can be found on Blvd. Josefa, another prominent north-south street in Rocky Point. The newer Ley Express store is a more condensed version of the main store and often offers a better exchange rate. In either store, you’re likely to encounter fellow ‘gringos’ strolling through the aisles, making it a comfortable shopping destination for English speakers. Location
Medical Resources:
911 is the emergency number in Puerto Penasco. Let the Security team know if you have an emergency as they will provide assistance while ensuring 911 responders locate you quickly. They also have some first aide training and may be able to provide some assistance. There are also four pharmacies within a short walking distance from the Pinacate.

In the downtown area of Puerto Peñasco you can find San Jose Clinic it is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. San Jose Clinic provides the following services; X-rays, ultrasounds, a delivery room, surgery, transportation to local hospitals and or hospitals to the United States. San Jose Clinic provides is an onsite discount pharmacy should you need medication after your visit.

Another urgent care clinic open 24 hours is Clinica Santa Fe, they provide a full range of services and hospitalization if required. They do not have ambulance service.

Santa Maria Clinic offers visits only by appointment. They employ specialists in gynecology, pediatrics and general medicine. Their regular business hours are Monday thru Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In the Sandy Beach Resort Area, the clinic Sandy Beach Urgent Care is now open and located on the main road, Boulevard Costero at Metropolis Plaza. This clinic sits right in the middle of the entire resort strip. If you are a guest at any of the resorts in Sandy Beach, this will be the closest clinic to you. Please consider business hours.

The Santa Fe Clinic (47 Morua Ave, Phone 383-2447) currently serves as Peñasco's prime emergency care facility in conjuction with the local Red Cross (94 Fremont Blvd, Phone 383-2266) with their major ambulance transport ability.
Depending on the patient's condition, the injured may be brought directly to the clinic by private vehicle.If Emergency Air Evacuation (AirEvac, Inc. Phone 95-880-321-9522) or Ambulance Transport (Ajo Ambulance, Inc Phone 520-387-5154/520-387-7621) is needed to the United States, arrangements will be made by the clinic.
Rides:
Head Out to To Rocky Point offers a transportation service to get to Puerto Penasco. There are several transportation services you can check out.
For local transportation, there is a taxi stand next door in front of Peñasco del Sol. We ask for their business card so we can call for them to pick us back up for our return back to Pinacate.
